  • Though she shies away from the limelight, Jan is the brains and the founder of The Global Student. She will reluctantly admit that she has over two decades of experience in the Australian higher education sector, spending the last 15 years in and around Asia.

Her passion has always been global student mobility and that has led to her launching The Global Student from Kuala Lumpur, which she has been calling home for the last 16 years. Not bad for a girl from the quiet suburbs of Melbourne!

  • As TGS Program Manager, Teena is an invaluable asset as she is able to quickly navigate the intricacies of the local landscape, both professionally and personally. She is able to leverage her in-depth knowledge and understanding of the local culture, customs, and regulations, while also having the ability to build relationships and trust with her colleagues, and program participants.

Furthermore, Teena has a natural flair for problem-solving and anticipating issues before they occur. She is able to provide creative solutions to any challenge that may arise, ensuring that the program runs as smoothly and successfully as possible.

Overall, Teena is a highly experienced professional who has an impressive track record of delivering unique, customized, and successful experiential learning experiences for our students. Her knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm for creating an exceptional program for our students make her an invaluable asset to TGS.

  • Panchali is the go-to person for all things administrative and financial. Our Office Manager admits she loves counting money and hates eating vegetables.

Meticulous and detailed in making plans and sticking to them, she does everything by the book.

She treasures her independence and freedom and doesn’t sweat the small stuff. Instead, she’s more focused on doing the things that make her happy.

She believes the best things in life are free, but if you are going to claim for something, you better make sure you kept the receipt!
