Funding
Students can apply for several grants and loans to fund your study abroad programs, which can prove an attractive incentive. Visit you University Learning Abroad office to find out if you qualify. Some Learning Abroad offices and faculties have small grants that can be used to offset the costs of studying abroad. These grants and the eligibility for these will vary at different universities.
Australia
New Colombo Plan grants - Many universities offer discipline-specific grants for internships study tours and volunteer programs. The NCP aims to strengthen Australia's regional relationships through expanding individual, university, business, and other connections. Students must be enrolled in a program for credit. Check if your degree program is eligible by visiting the campus Learning Abroad office.
OS HELP loans - a loan for eligible undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place (CSP) who want to study some of their courses overseas. You can use it to pay for airfares, accommodation or other travel costs. You can get two OS-HELP loans over the duration of your degree but they can't be within the same six month period.
Each year, the loan amount will increase to align with inflation and the cost of living.

Application Process
Applications for OS-HELP loans must be made directly through your university, as each institution manages its own application process. For further guidance, students can reach out to their university’s Mobility Officer for local criteria and accessibility.
New Zealand
The Prime Minster’s Scholarships for Asia and Latin America are very generous grants that cover flights, a contribution towards internship fees, living, accommodation, visa and insurance costs. Visit your university Learning Abroad office of faculty admin office to find out if you qualify.
